Hampstead Hill Academy is a PreK through 8th grade Baltimore City public charter school. Our school is ranked Number 1 in City Schools in elementary and middle school grades. HHA’s elementary grades are ranked in the 94th percentile in the State of Maryland, and our middle grades are ranked in the 98th percentile in the State of Maryland. For the 2025 school year, Hampstead Hill Academy received a 5-star rating on the Report Card from the Maryland State Department of Education click here.

Dear Hampstead Hill Community,
As we welcome the new year, I find myself reflecting on what makes our school so special. It isn’t test scores or trophies—it’s the kindness and joy I see shared between hundreds of people here every single day.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?”’ At HHA, I see that question answered through your care for one another and for our community. That is why I am so grateful to be a part of it.
I wish you all had a great winter break filled with warmth and connection. I had a fantastic time on the slopes in Canada with my son, and I hope you also enjoyed moments of rest and joy with your loved ones.
