PreK is a separate program with its own set of admission criteria and will not be fully addressed by lottery guidelines. A current year PreK waiting list will be maintained in the school’s main office through September 30th of each year. Please complete this interest form for the 2026-27 academic year (this is NOT an application; for internal informational purposes only).

Updated information on the application timeline can be found on Baltimore City Schools website.

Live Baltimore is offering a virtual workshop on the pre-k enrollment process, which we encourage families to attend:

Demystifying the Pre-K Enrollment Process: If your child will turn 4 by September 1, 2026, now’s the time to start thinking about Pre-K! Enrollment for City Schools’ free, full-day Pre-K opens on Monday, Feb. 16 through the centralized, online application portal. Note that Pre-K space is limited, so placement in your neighborhood school is not guaranteed—but all are welcome to apply. Live Baltimore and Early Learning at Baltimore City Public Schools will host a free, virtual workshop on Pre-K Enrollment on Thurs, Jan. 29 at 8 PM. Register here / Regístrate aquí

Prek Application

PreK applications for HHA must be completed through Infinite Campus Online Registration (OLR) system, with one of the following links (The application window for 2026-27 PreK enrollment does not open until February 16, 2026):

  • New City Schools Parents: SEMS

  • Existing City Schools Parents: Log into Parent Portal and navigate to: More > Online Registration > New Registration SY2526. If you are a parent of an existing Baltimore City Schools student, you will need your Parent Portal login to apply for PreK.  If you do not have that, please contact HHA at 410-396-9146 or agomera@hha47.org.

There is required supporting documentation that must be uploaded in the OLR system to complete your application (Proof of Student Identity & Age, Proof of Parent/Guardian Identity, Proof of Address, Mandatory Proof of Income, Immunization Record).  Please review the City Schools website for the Priority System for PreK, Who is Considered Low Income, and Documentation Needed to Enroll. In addition to the City’s Priority System for PreK, HHA prioritizes in-zone families due to overcrowding.  If you live outside of the HHA zone, we encourage you to apply to other PreK programs in City Schools through the SEMS system.

The application window closes on April 17th.  All applications must be submitted through OLR by then with ALL supporting documentation to be considered.  Pre-k enrollment is not first-come-first-serve, nor is it guaranteed.  We will follow the City Schools Priority System with an additional preference for in-zone families.  All applications will be reviewed after the April 17 deadline.

If you have questions, please call 410-396-9146.
