Chess Club On the move
The HHA Chess Team visited the Vane Brothers company headquarters and participated in the first ever Vane Brothers Chess Competition. The Vane Brothers is a prominent Baltimore-based marine company that moves essential products such as gas, petroleum and asphalt to support our country’s infrastructure. They operate in all major ports in the US and Caribbean waters, and are a proud sponsor of the HHA Chess Team.

MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL
The Multicultural Festival at HHA was a vibrant success, bringing together students, parents and community members for a cultural exploration and celebration. The festival featured a variety of cultural stations that showcased the rich diversity within our community. The festival was more than just an opportunity to celebrate cultural heritage. It was a chance to build connections and understanding within our diverse community. Students and parents left with a greater appreciation for the different traditions and customs that enrich our school.

MS. KAT LOCKE-JONES BALTIMORE CITY’S TEACHER OF THE YEAR!
Congratulations to 7th grade HHA ELA teacher Kat Locke Jones on being named Baltimore City’s Teacher of the Year! Ms. LoJo will compete against other state award winners from all 24 of Maryland’s districts for the Maryland State Teacher of the Year award.
Track and Field
Athletes had a spectacular season this year. A huge THANK YOU to the Guyton, Schoonmaker and Keola-Lee families for helping out at the meets. They got our athletes through the record heat with snacks, water, bananas, a canopy and helped send athletes down for their events.
